Graduate Program of Food Biotechnology

Theophane Vernard School of Biotechnology is now accepting both Thai and International applicants for the Master and Doctoral Program  in Food Biotechnology  (Joint Program with University of California at Davis).

Admission criteria for Master degree

  1. Hold a bachelor’s degree from the institutions accredited by the Ministry of Education, Thailand.
  2. Cumulative GPA of at least 2.5 or have at least 1 year working experience.
  3. Obtain a TOEFL score of at least 575 or equivalent or pass the English Proficiency Examination of the Graduate School of Biotechnology.

Additional requirement for Plan A Type A1

  1. Hold a bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Bioscience or related fields from the institutions accredited by the Ministry of Education, Thailand.
  2. The applicants needed to have at least 1 year working experience in related field. The applicants graduated from School of Biotechnology, Assumption University may apply for Plan A type A1 (4+1 track) with GPA of at least 2.5 and/or with approval of prospective thesis advisor.

Admission criteria for Doctoral degree

  1. Hold a Bachelor’s degree or a Master’s degree in Food Technology, Biotechnology, Bioscience or related fields.
  2. Obtain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.00 for a Master’s Degree holder or
  3. Obtain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5 for a Bachelor’s Degree holder
  4. Obtain a TOEFL score of at least 575 or equivalent or pass the English Proficiency Examination of the Graduate School of Biotechnology
  5. For type 1.2 :  3 years work experience in  Food Technology or Biotechnology is required
